Upper Saddle River Real Estate Upper
Saddle River, with its one-acre zoning, is an ideal community for
people seeking space and beautiful scenery.
Homes
are an interesting blend of traditional and contemporary styles.
Properties are wooded, and many have streams or breathtaking views of
the Saddle River Valley.
The schools
in Upper Saddle River are top-notch. They include elementary
schools that serve Kindergarten to grade 2 (Reynolds) and Grades 3-5 (Bogert).
Cavallini Middle School serves grades 6-8, and Upper Saddle River high
school students attend Northern
Highlands.
Upper
Saddle River's history is interesting. George Washington
marched his troops up the East Saddle River Road during the Revolution,
and there are still a number of buildings in town that date from that
era including the Hopper-Goetschius House which is now a museum. The valley
cultural gem of the area is the Saddle
River Valley Cultural Center. Located
in a 157-year old church, the Cultural Center offers terrific
performances and classes for children and adults in acting, crafts,
cooking, chess, drawing, karate, music and science. The Upper
Saddle River Library is also an excellent community resource. Many things have
changed over the past two centuries. However, the quiet beauty of this
lovely community remains as much a treasure to the current residents as
it had been for generations past.
Rolling
countryside, gorgeous homes and an exceptional school system - all are a
major part of life in this affluent and desirable community. Upper
Saddle River is only a few miles away from the Garden State Parkway and
the New York State Thruway. |
